Dance
Dancing is a great way our campers learn coordination, get their bodies moving and have fun! Campers dance to both American music and also Israeli songs too. This is one of the many ways campers connect to Israel and express their Jewish identities. One of the highlights of the week is kikar (field) dancing when 200 campers and staff all join together to dance to the Israeli music – both old and new!
Art
Art is all around us at Ramah Day Camp! Our younger campers are exposed to a variety of different media throughout the summer while our older campers can choose to specialize in one area. Some of the media we learn include printmaking, weaving, and pottery. Jewish-themed art projects also enhance the overall Judaic content of our camp.
Drama
Drama engages campers with improvisation games, puppetry, and learning to use movement, language, and facial expressions to convey a story. Campers build self-confidence, use their creativity, and explore the wonderful world of imagination.
Music
Music enhances our camp day! Every day after lunch campers sing their hearts out! From their favorite Jewish and Israeli camp songs, to new tunes taught by our talented staff, campers enjoy a variety of musical treats.
